Sorry guys, Im not looking to recruit any of you for work experience, or take on graduates. Im a single person at the minute but for those of you who have emailed, you are going to need to do more than you currently are for any company to be interested. Firstly, dont email. Although we respond to emails quickly, and handle enquiries via email frequently, I have already received ten or more emails from students who are simply googling web design companies, emailing on mass and hoping for the best.

I wouldn’t want to employ someone with this little initiative. Hand deliver your portfolio. Or post it on CD with a professional letter. Or pick up the phone and talk to the prospective employer. Have you researched the company? Make sure you can name their clients, their technology and how you are going to be able to use the skills you have to fit in quickly into their studio. What do they get?..you better be prepared to work for peanuts to get experience.

Have you your own domain name? Show you can set this up by getting one, the Jordanstown server URL doesn’t do anything for me. Overall do something a bit different from every other student in your class – and STAND out from the crowd.
