Listbait is an art. People who like making lists (obsessive compulsives etc), are generally brilliant at it. You see these on Digg, and Delicious all the time. 20 ways to get rich quick, 100 Top CSS directories. You know the drill. But do they achieve results?

In the past I’ve created traffic booms by using list bait, but from studying ye olde Google Analytics, I’ve found that traffic generated as a result of it generally is short lived. Social networking sites are not the kind of traffic that converts. However they are fantastico at getting subscribers to your RSS feed..

For bloggers RSS subscribers are everything. For those of you reading who haven’t a clue -think of it as the holy grail of blogging. If your business is online, and you have yet to catch the Web2.0 train, chances are you haven’t thought seriously about RSS marketing.
