The Great Webdistortion Chocolate Experiment..

As I discussed in this post, I’ve had a bit of an idea for promotion of this blog. Simple bribery. Everyone knows the way to a mans heart is through his stomach, so what better to offer bloggers…good old fashioned chocolate.not that there aren’t any lady’s out there or anything, it just seems that all the high profile people out there all male. Where are all the female bloggers? I do however read Amy Hoy’s blog. Reason being, its technology based, and good at it, nothing to do with her being female.

So, I’ve stuffed a few envelopes full of the brown stuff, asked a few people for their addresses and sent it off to my bloggers of choice, hopefully, I’ll get a passing mention on those blogs, and a few backlinks to boot.

The total cost comes to less than £25 including postage, which is a pretty cheap way of getting your name out there, a testament to the fact that marketing doesn’t have to be expensive, it just has to be smart. It also makes sense to try and incorporate traditional offline marketing, with the online sort if at all possible. Obviously as a micro-business you may not be able to afford a billboard, but small gestures like this, coupled with the personal touch are as likely to be effective.

For those of you who know a little package is on its way, I’ve tried to find as much chocolate that isn’t available in America. You really dont know what you’re missing out on over there. British chocolate kicks American candy anyday of the week. Enjoy.
