Having been a tad late to the show, I’ve actually started using Twitter more and more, however I’m never really satisfied with the design of it. So for you guys out there in the same boy, here are some Backgrounds to enjoy. Remember Click on each of the thumb images to download the full size version, otherwise they wont tile properly.
Twitter Apple Style.
I know that there are a load of you apple fan-boys out there, so if you want to emulate the style of apple on twitter, this is the background style for you.

I’ve always been a bit of a nintendo kid. So for that reason, its time to bring Mario to twitter. Dont tile this one (there’s an option in Twitter).

Bart wants a piece of the twitter action too. Bart is a transparent png, and works on all backgrounds. Dont tile him though.
Soldier Boy.
This pattern is a bit of an army classic. For all you soldier boys out there.

Yes. I’ve been listening to lots of radiohead recently. This one works well if you are looking for a bit more colour in your life.
Cool Runnings.
A bit of a Jamaican bobsleigh team feel this time.

Hi! I like the backgrounds you’ve put together. I’m building a site to let people update their Twitter backgrounds and color schemes automatically (like twittergallery.com, except it will allow image uploads directly). Found this website mentioned on another blog. As a new twitter user, I found some of the other background options complicated or they didn’t format correctly. This site was easy to use w/ lots of practical options. Thanks for your support. I’ll be sure to mention this site to all the new twitter users i know.

Alot of companies/brands are starting to take advantage of the background option in Twitter even though its still quite restrictive.
The one ive liked the most so far is one for Rightmobilephone.

I followed these links and found, that you don’t actually have to pay to get cool Twitter backgrounds. I found many web pages, which also offer cool and interesting design for Twitter and you can get them for free.
