Need an SMS marketing system for your website?

I’ve been working furiously this week to get another web application tidied up and out the door, and I can now proudly say that our SMS Marketing System - Webdistortion:MessageMate is now launched.

I decided a few months back that there must be a better way for web managers and marketers to tap into the SMS marketing arena via an easier to use interface - and the idea for MessageMate was born. It is also vendor independant, meaning that we can integrate it with any of the major SMS Gateways available on the web today. If you have an already existing account with an SMS provider, we can provide you with a version to work with them.

For those more technical amongst you, it runs on Windows servers running ASP.NET 2.0+ (Visual Basic) , and SQL Server versions 2000, and 2005. (Including Express versions). Full source code is provided with the system, as well as a pre-compiled version, which makes it easier for you to ammend the system to your needs if you so desire.

Website developers and designers can now easily integrate a form on their website, which talks to our system API, and adds a new “customer” to the system. This contact form can be configured to capture -  Customer Name, Email Address and Mobile telephone number - (or just Mobile Number if preferred) and the subsequent data then gets sent to messagemate, which is hosted in an easy to use backend.

Website Administrators can then begin to build up “groups” of different customers, which can be targetted on demand at anytime. MessageMate allows sending of SMS messages on particular days, or at particular times, allowing you to schedule an SMS marketing message in advance, all from the conveience of your own website.

Best of all, unlike many other SMS marketing solutions, MessageMate allows you to send personalised messages, inserting the customers Name directly into the text message, and increasing the likelihood of a response.

I can think of a number of applications for this:

Nightclubs - interested in building a list from an existing Nightclub website.
Restaurants - sending special offers at slow periods of business
Retailers - send a text message containing special offers, discounts, sales and Voucher codes

I’d also open to contact from any SMS Gateway who would be interested in developing a module for integration with their site. Give me a shout if you are interested.
