Browsing through my feed reader today I noticed that Google is now running Adsense for games, As a result of their Adscape acquisition earlier this year, and is now integrating their ad technology specifically for games played within the browser. This would include flash based games and would provide additional revenue for larger gaming sites such as addictinggames and mousebreaker.

Independent research has shown that most users do not have a negative opinion of in-game advertising and therefore will watch video ads exchange for free game play. I have to say that personally I would find this much more intrusive and definitely not as friendly as say Adsense but can see many sites going for this advertising model.

With Google clearly now having the technology available for this in flash games, it stands to reason that a rollout amongst flash based Youtube videos won’t be far behind, and with embedded Youtube video’s now penetrated deep across the web - is both a technological and financial coop for them.
