I’ve been working on this new design on and off for the past couple of months, in the evening’s and when I haven’t been blogging – I’ve been playing with Wordpress and tweaking the site. It’s not quite 100% as yet, as I wanted to just get it up there and functioning before tweaking at it.
I wanted to achieve a few goals with this design. Here’s the main goals for this project
1) Highlight our Web Based Products
Firstly I wanted to highlight our web based products a bit more. I’ve a few more to get added to the site after I do some branding work on them. They needed to take center stage if I’m going to increase sales in 2009.
2) Show myself off a bit more
Personal branding is a must in 2009. You wont survive without it. Hopefully the site now captures a bit more of my personality. I plan on getting myself a decent web camera, and starting to video blog a bit too.
3) Puff out the chest, and give me room to breathe
The site is now running a good bit wider – sorry 800X600 people. Time for you to invest on that new monitor. Blog posts such as this will now hopefully pop for me a bit more.
4) Encourage further interaction, via twitter
Networking, Networking, Networking.Twitter is a great way to find out who exactly your visitors are and what they want. It completes the feedback loop.
Let me know what you think. As I say, I’ve still got some live tweaking to do, css etc in places isn’t just completed, but I think getting things up there and moving now gives a feel for how I plan on moving things forward.
