And I agree, Google Analytics is a great start but there are definitely budget friendly tools that can really give you a better idea of what's really happening with your traffic (in my opinion Google's click map tool always left much to be desired). As an SEM pro focused on lead generation, I always want the entire picture of what's happening with the traffic I send and there are some worthwhile and affordable usability tools popping up everywhere. Here is an article that reviews online testing tools. Website Magazine: http://bit.ly/32mqlQ (full disclosure, I am affiliated with UserTesting.com, but this article covers a few of the tools).Amanda

Hi Paul,

Enjoyed your review on the heatmap tools! Apparently the plugin adds a little link into your webpages back to the website of Labs Media, which can conflict with some searchengines. It’s not difficult to remove the link, but I’m not really fond of this kind of strategy. If you want, you can read more about it on http://www.paulolyslager.com/heatmap-hot-or-not. Cheers

Nice list and heatmaps are really useful to monitor your visitors but you need to be carefull with clickheat of lab media… Apparently the plugin adds a little link into your webpages back to the website of Labs Media, which can conflict with some searchengines.
